Transferring Credits

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration | Rutgers at Raritan Valley Community College

This advising guide is designed for Prospective Transfer Students from Raritan Valley Community College.  Please contact our office directly for advising guides from other NJ Community Colleges. 

For students interested in transferring into the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program at Rutgers-RVCC, completion of the following Raritan Valley Community College courses is recommended before enrollment: 

  • Macroeconomics:  ECON-101 

  • Microeconomics:   ECON-102  

  • Principles of Accounting: ACCT-101

  • Managerial Accounting: ACCT-104

  • Unified Calculus: MATH-151 – Students are strongly encouraged to take this course while at RVCC. Students may take this course online at Rutgers University provided they have completed MATH-113.

  • Statistics: MATH-110

  • Intro to Computers: COMP-102  

  • Business Law:   BUSI-131

The above courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an Associate Degree program.  Completion of an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree is required to be considered for admission.  Students with an AAS or other degrees may not be eligible for this program but should consult with the Manager of Academic Programs at Rutgers-RVCC prior to applying.  Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to Rutgers-School of Business Camden and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to transfer.  Students who have not completed all of the above courses, may be still considered for admission, but should consult with a Rutgers advisor prior to submitting an application. Courses for the Business Administration degree at Rutgers-RVCC are a combination of courses taught in-class at the RVCC campus and online courses.  Students interested in transferring into this program should be comfortable with taking some online courses.
