Transferring Credits

For students interested in transferring into the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Rutgers-CCM, completion of the following College courses while at County College of Morris are highly recommended prior to enrollment:

• CJS 116 (Introduction to Criminology)

• CJS 121 (Criminal Justice System)

The following college courses are suggested prior to enrollment:

• CJS 213 (Police & The Community)

• CJS 214 (Juvenile Delinquency & Crime Prevention)

• CJS 221 (Criminal Law & Procedure)

• CJS 225 (Probation & Parole)

The above courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an Associate’s Degree program. Completion of an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is required to be considered for admission. AAS or AFA degrees are not eligible for admission to this degree program.

Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to Rutgers School of Criminal Justice and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to be transferred in. Students may transfer up to 90 credits from a four-year university or college and community college combined.

Courses for the Criminal Justice degree at Rutgers-CCM are taught in class at the CCM campus.

A Minor is required for this program.
