Transferring Credits

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice | Rutgers at Mercer County Community College

For students interested in transferring into the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Rutgers-Mercer, completion of the following College courses is highly recommended before enrollment:

  • CRJ 101 (Intro to Criminal Justice)
  • CRJ 102 (Police in the Community)
  • CRJ 103 (Intro to Corrections)
  • CRJ 105 (Criminology)
  • SOC 101 (Intro to Sociology

The above courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an Associate Degree program. Completion of an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is required to be considered for admission. Students with an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) or other degrees may not be eligible for this program and should consult with the Manager of Academic Programs at Rutgers-Mercer before applying.

Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to Rutgers University and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to be transferred in. Students may transfer up to 90 credits from a four-year university or college and community college combined.

A Minor is required for this program.
