Transferring Credits

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration | Rutgers at Mercer County Community College

For students interested in transferring into the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program at Rutgers-Mercer, completion of the following Mercer County Community College courses is recommended before enrollment:

  • •Macroeconomics: ECO111

  • •Microeconomics: ECO112

  • •Principles of Financial Accounting: ACC111

  • •Statistics: BUS205

  • •Business Calculus: MAT 149 or MAT151 Students are strongly encouraged to take this course while at Mercer. Students may also take this course online at Rutgers University provided they have completed through MAT146 at Mercer.(Important Note: Students who may also apply to the Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick must take MAT151)

  • •Intro to Computers: IST101 (Important Note: Students who may also apply to the Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick must also take IST102.)

  • •Business Law: BUS107. This course is recommended, but not required for admission. Students who are unable to fit this course into their Associate Degree may take the course online after enrolling at Rutgers.

The above courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an Associate Degree program. Completion of an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree is required to be considered for admission. Students with an AAS or other degrees may not be eligible for this program and should consult with the Manager of Academic Programs at Rutgers-Mercer before applying.

Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to Rutgers-School of Business Camden and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to transfer.

Students who have not completed all of the above courses may be still considered for admission but should consult with a Rutgers advisor prior to submitting an application.

Courses for the Business Administration degree at Rutgers-Mercer are a combination of courses taught in-class on the Mercer campus and online courses. Students interested in transferring into this program should be comfortable with taking some online courses.
