For students interested in transferring into the Bachelor of Arts Liberal Studies program at Rutgers in Blackwood, completion of the following Camden County College courses are recommended before enrollment:
MATH107 – Math for the Liberal Arts
HIS101 – World Civilization
SOC101 – Intro to Sociology
PSY101 – Intro to Psychology
Foreign Language >101
The above courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an associate’s degree program. Completion of an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is strongly recommended before transferring and is preferred to completion of an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree.
Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to University College-Rutgers Camden and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to be transferred in. A minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA is recommended to be considered for admission.
For students who have not completed an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree at Camden County College, it is recommended to consult with a Rutgers at Camden County advisor prior to applying to transfer to discuss transfer eligibility.
Courses for the Liberal Studies degree at Rutgers at Camden County College are a combination of courses taught in class at the CCC-Blackwood campus and online courses. Students interested in transferring into this program should be comfortable with taking some online courses.
