Transferring Credits

Bachelor of Science in Health Administration Rutgers - Brookdale Community College

For students interested in transferring into the Bachelor of Science in Health Administration program at Rutgers in Lincroft, completion of the following Brookdale Community College courses is either required or recommended before enrollment:

  • ENG122 English Composition II – required for consideration for admission

  • MATH131 Statistics, ECON-225 Business Statistics, OR PSYC247 Quantitative Methods in Psychology – required to be considered for admission.

  • ACCT101 & ACCT102 Principles of Accounting I & II. This is a linked course. Students must take both courses to receive credit for Financial Accounting (52:010:101) at Rutgers University – recommended

The above courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an associate’s degree program. Completion of an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree is required before transferring. The Associate in Business Administration degree is the recommended associate’s degree program at Brookdale Community College, which includes most of the above courses as part of the program. Students completing an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree program may still be considered for admission; however, they will need to complete additional General Education requirements after transferring.

Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to be transferred in. A minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA is recommended to be considered for admission.

This program will be offered online only initially. In-person courses may be offered at Lincroft if a sufficient number of students express interest or enroll in the program.
