Transferring Credits

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration | Rutgers at Brookdale Community College

For students interested in transferring into the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program at Rutgers-Brookdale, completion of the following Brookdale Community College courses are recommended before enrollment:

  • Macroeconomics: ECON105
  • Microeconomics: ECON106
  • Principles of Accounting I & II: ACCT101+102 (This is a linked course. Students must take both courses in order to receive credit for Financial Accounting (52:010:101) at Rutgers University.)
  • Statistics: MATH131. ECON225 is also acceptable.
  • Pre-Calculus MATH 153 or MATH 156
  • Intro to Computers: COMP129 (Important Note: Students who may also apply to the Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick must also take either COMP126 or COMP128).
  • Business Law: BUSI221. This course is recommended, but not required for admissions. Students who are unable to fit this course into their Associate Degree may take the course via exchange registration after enrolling at Rutgers.

The above courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an Associate Degree program. Completion of an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is required to be considered for admission. Students with an AAS or other degrees may not be eligible for this program but should consult with the Manager of Academic Programs at Rutgers-Brookdale prior to applying.

Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to Rutgers-School of Business Camden and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to transfer. Students who have not completed all of the above courses may be still considered for admission but should consult with a Rutgers advisor prior to submitting an application.

Courses for the Business Administration degree at Rutgers-Brookdale are a combination of courses taught in class at the Lincroft campus and online courses. Students interested in transferring into this program should be comfortable with taking some online courses.
